Beta — Subject to Change
PicoPixel is currently in beta. The platform is experimental and being used as a learning and development tool while we gather feedback and decide on the direction of the project. This privacy policy may change significantly as the product evolves.
1. Overview
PicoPixel is built with privacy in mind. We do not use third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics, and we do not sell, share, or monetize your personal information in any way. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
2. Information We Collect
Email address: Collected as part of the OAuth sign-in process (e.g. Google, GitHub). We store your email so we can contact you if needed — for example, regarding your account, service updates, or security notices. If you opt in, we may also use it to send you our newsletter with product updates.
Anonymous platform metrics: We collect aggregate, anonymous data about how the platform is used — such as the total number of users, the total number of teams created, and similar operational metrics. This data is used solely to understand platform usage and keep the service running.
What we do not collect: We do not track your location, IP address, browsing behavior, device fingerprint, or any other metric that could identify you personally or profile who you are.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your email address to communicate with you about your account and, with your permission, to send product updates via our newsletter. Anonymous platform metrics are used to monitor the health and growth of the service. We do not sell or share your information with any third party.
4. Authentication & Account Management
PicoPixel uses third-party OAuth providers (such as Google or GitHub) for sign-in. We do not store passwords. If you need to update your account information — such as your name, email, or profile picture — you must do so through the OAuth provider you used to sign up. Changes made there will be reflected in PicoPixel.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We take reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
6. Cookies
PicoPixel uses cookies solely to maintain your session after signing in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookie-based analytics.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. To update your account information, please make changes through your OAuth provider.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
